a new chapter for Seventeen

We Are Seventeen no more.

a new era begins

For many years, WeAreSeventeen made a name for itself with stunning CG adverts and product shots. Their 3D prowess and Houdini mastery being at the front and centre of what they do.

In order to flex this creative muscle even more, they took the leap and developed in a fully fledged creative agency. Going beyond their comfort zone and diving into branding, broadcast, etc.. whilst still maintaining their CG strength.

To signal this change, We Are Seventeen is no longer. Henceforth being known as Seventeen.

Odd personalities uniting

Inside of Seventeen is a collection of quirky personalities, coming together as one unique figure: the Odd Mind.

Any creative team is only as good as it’s parts. So the people at Seventeen made sure to highlight the team in their own quirky, unique, odd way.

To express all these different personalities, Seventeen developed a suite of icons, each representing a hobby, interest, personality trait or just a random spur of the moment thought of each member of the whole team. Exploring how these oddities come to life was a fine balancing act between quirky and contemporary approaches.

Creating an homage to the driving forces that make doing what they do possible without turning them into cartoons.

Motion Principles

Developing a motion language befitting the oddities of the new Seventeen brand came quite natural:

Their approach is all about being flexible, thinking outside the box and complementing it all with their own creative oddities.
